Holo/OR (HOL) was founded in 1989 and develops and manufactures diffractive and micro-optical elements for the optics industry. HOL is located at the Kiryat Weizmann High Tech Industrial Park, next to the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. They offer services in optical design (diffractive optical elements, optical systems and tailored optics), diffractive optical element fabrication and optical measurements. HOL currently hold twenty patents relating to optics and optical systems.
HOL has been involved in the design and development of diffractive optical elements since 1989, and uses in house software and algorithms to maximise efficiency and uniformity of the energy distribution. HOL has extensive knowledge of both the design and manufacture of diffractive optical elements, which enables manufacturing tolerances to be integrated in the diffractive design and ensure the simulated quality matches the manufactured quality.
In the Tailor:Weld project, HOL defined the state-of-the-art in DOE resolution and produce DOE with tailored energy distributions prepared using the Tailor:Weld Design Tool.
